K-12 IEB Quality, Affordable, Safe, Inclusive Christian STEM with Arts International School. With Tech Hub Campus

Why is the School called a Sciences Academy?

GCUASc School means GCU Academy of Sciences because it is an affordable, yet high-quality, specialised type of learning in a typical school with modern Sciences curriculum and practical technologies interwoven into the normal CAPS curriculum, for unique outcomes of a high standard, to produce students internationally competitive against international STEM schools.  STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths ) which we integrate with Arts to produce well-rounded, balanced, creative and ethical leaders of the future.

Most of life is a science. Art can be a science because it engages and cordinates all facets of the human body to produce consistent outcomes, observable and provable through scientific testing. Business is a type of science. Marketing is a science.

Our Matriculants will sit the IEB exams.

At GCU Academy of Sciences, we teach all school children to understand that Maths is a useful, essential subject that is not to be studied but practiced in order for it to be easy. Science and Technology subjects are not be feared. They are for all people. It is for everyone. Bring your child to GCUASc, and you will be glad you did!

GCU in this instance is an acronym for "Genius Capabilities Unlocked." We untap the genius in every child as God designed them to be.

GCU Academy of Sciences also provides AFTER-CARE services.  with a technology-skills training hub.

BENEFITS of The Integration of CAPS with STEAM

  1. The integration of CAPS and STEAM will greatly improve the quality of education of our  learners, holistically.
  2. STEAM will enable them to also acquire soft skills to be creative, innovative, problem solvers, with emotional and social intelligence, yet being technology savvy, analytical and critical thinkers who will be team players.
  3. The curriculum will expose the learners to the real world of work.
  4. The learners will fit perfectly well in the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).
  5. It will create learners who are explorers, cautious yet brave experimenters, and creators of products and services using technology.
  6. They will become global citizens, as they will be able to live anywhere in the world and fit perfectly well.
  7. Most importantly it will prepare them for the future world as leaders with backbone in character.

GCUASc with Tech and Creative Hub

Rather than being passive recipients of information, students become active participants in their learning process.

Parents or caregivers assume a supportive role, guiding their child’s educational journey rather than acting as traditional teachers.

This approach helps to build confidence and prepares learners for a future that will demand self-management and continuous learning.

What’s more, an agile structure allows for a broader range of subject choices.

Learners are not limited by the resources available in a single school; instead, they have the freedom to explore other subjects such as coding, creative arts, or entrepreneurship, earlier in their schooling years.

Adding options like these makes learning more meaningful and directly aligns education with a child’s interests and future aspirations, according to international standards.

Tech and tools

The accessibility and power of technology are central to the success of this educational shift. Efforts will be made to ensure that ultimately, every child in the school will have access to all the computer technologies they need.
