K-12 IEB Quality, Affordable, Safe, Inclusive Christian STEM with Arts International School. With Tech Hub Campus
Your child will receive high-quality, internationally standard STEM education (integrated with Arts) - (STEAM) for IEB Matric exams in a safe, values-based Christian environment.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths.
The roots of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) go back to the early 2000s when the National Science Foundation (NSF) began adopting and advocating for an interdisciplinary methodology to learning. However, STEM-based education began gaining traction in the global education system in the last decade. The goal has always been to provide children with a holistic method of learning in which their cognitive abilities can be boosted to cope with challenging real-life situations.
STEM-based education has gained central importance, even for small children and toddlers. Preschool children learn about science by coming in contact with different shapes. Whether itโs a Lego cube or a circular apple, the structural understanding of STEM-based learning is applied across multiple domains.
STEAM is STEM integrated with Arts for creativity and balance.
A STEAM curriculum integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics into a cohesive, interdisciplinary approach to learning, moving beyond teaching subjects in isolation. It emphasizes hands-on projects, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving, using the arts (visual, music, language) to foster creativity and innovation alongside technical skills, preparing students to be adaptable thinkers and creators for the future.
THE PROBLEM IN RSA
โThe Department of Basic Education statistics reveal a staggering 44.6% of learners either dropping out of the system altogether or remaining stuck in Grade 10 and 11, while 40% drop out in the first year of varsity. According to the World Economic Forum, the quality of maths and science subjects in South Africa is ranked last out of 148 countries. Over 245,103 learners wrote the mathematics papers in 2017, and only 6,726 passed with the 80% needed to guarantee entry into most engineering degrees. There is already a challenge with more learners dropping pure maths from Grade 10.
The above shocking statistics reveal the strain our education system is under and the level of support they need.โ

GCUASc & Tech Hub Executive Director
It is a centre of learning where the mastering art of learning sciences, including Technology, Engineering, and Maths is thoroughly taught to all learners as a normal part of their school curriculum.
At GCUASc, children are taught early (from Kindergarten) to familiarise themselves with STEM subjects integrated as normal subjects in their main CAPS curriculum.
GCU in this instance is an acronym for "Genius Capabilities Unlocked."
GCU Academy of Sciences AKA St Carlo Acutis College, also has after care services with a technology-skilling hub and STEM with Arts (STEAM), primarily for Gr R-12.
In higher grades, it offers practical technical skills training at junior college, in which a special art of affordable, quality learning of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Arts subjects is integrated into the CAPS curriculum, aiming at IEB syllabus and exams in high school.
This is balanced with preparing ethically and spiritually grounded specialists in business and industrial development in RSA.
Rather than being passive recipients of information, students become active participants in their learning process.
Parents or caregivers assume a supporting role, guiding their childโs educational journey rather than acting as a traditional teacher.
This self-directed approach helps to build confidence and prepares learners for a future that will demand self-management and continuous learning.
Whatโs more, an agile structure allows for a broader range of subject choices.
Learners are not limited by the resources available in a single school; instead, they have the freedom to explore other subjects such as coding, creative arts, or entrepreneurship.
Adding options like these makes learning more meaningful and directly aligns education with a childโs interests and future aspirations.
Tech and tools
